Art Historian and Art Critic-
Dora obtained a doctorate in History of Art from Sorbonne in Paris and further post graduate studies were done at the Ecole pratique des hautes etudes, University of Paris.
She was appointed councilor to the Art Department of the National Bank of Greece, a post that she held very successfully for many years until her retirement.
She taught history of art to students studying for their Masters degree in Athens and also at the International School of Dramatic Art in Athens.
She was the Art Critic for the newspaper Kathimerini from 1976 until 1994 and now collaborates with several art magazines which are published in
Greece.
She has been curator of a large number of exhibitions - for many artists and sculptors organizing both personal and group exhibitions - in Greece and abroad.
It total she has written 26 books and many exhibition catalogues and given many interviews to Greek Television and Radio.
She now lives and works in Athens and Paris, and also in Paros where she lives for part of the year.
She has been awarded "Officier des Arts et Lettres" from the French Government. |
