I was born in 1954 in Berlin and lived there until 1999.
In my youth I learned the importance of finding “islands of silence” in the cacophony of busy days. My self-directed independence and creativity enabled me to succeed in different work places, meeting varied demands. I retired from my job in 1999 due to illness and reside permanently on Naxos.
I am profoundly moved by the beauty of nature on the island and while slowly walking the untrodden paths with my camera I have discovered new ways of seeing. The lens to my soul has brought the gift of serenity for which I am deeply grateful.
The first exhibition of photographs,” The Wisdom of Stone” was displayed at the Venetian Museum in Naxos in September/ October, 2006.
